• Facilitating access to and ensuring utilization of non-book materials e.g. audio-Visual, perodicals and gray literature.
• Charging and discharging the above  mentioned information resources
• Ensuring effective utilization of special collections through continuous user education / instruction on.
• Ensuring the collection is well organized for fast retrieval of materials
